Fragrance Collection

Within the last few months, I've gotten really into fragrance. I always loved going to Bath and Body Works or Victoria's Secret and sniffing all the difference perfumes and body mists. They're affordable, always coming out with new scents, and have a wide variety. But I really wanted something that lasted more than 30 minutes on me. Thus, I began diving into the more high-end perfumes, the stuff I couldn't afford before I got a full time job.

My taste is still must be pretty basic to anyone who's been into perfumery for a long time, but I don't care. My nose likes what it likes. Plus perfume is expensive and I have to budget for it. So for fun I wanted to list my current collection and rate and review them, along with a little wishlist. Bath and Body Works was my gateway drug, and they have big sales all the time, so I have a good bit of those.

I think I have every available product in this scent; body spray, EDP, candle, hand soap, body scrub, body cream, shower gel, conditioner, body lotion, hand lotion, mini perfume, hand sanitizer, shea bar...I think the only ones I don't are shimmer mist, shampoo, and body butter. Because I don't like glittery sprays or body butter, and I'll get bad dandruff if I don't use my normal shampoo. If they ever discontinue this scent I will be at their headquarters.
A Thousand Wishes	Bath and Body Works	Pink prosecco, quince, pink peony, amber, amaretto creme	4 out of 5 stars	I smelled this when my friend's mom had this sitting around and I will sniff any fragrance you leave laying around me. I loved and bought it the next time I went to BBW. It smelled more mature than most scents they had at the time.
Dark Kiss	Bath and Body Works	Black raspberry, rose, bergamot, vanilla bean, plum musk	4 out of 5 stars	This was my first signature fragrance and I bought 2 full body sprays when they were $4 because I heard they were discontinuing them after that. I don't like it as much as I used to, or rather I found scents I like even more, but it's still very nice.
Champagne Toast	Bath and Body Works	Champagne, berries, tangerine	4 out of 5 stars	I like this scent but I think I burnt myself out on it because I don't find myself reaching for it as much anymore.
Midnight Pomegranate	Bath and Body Works	Pomegranate, blackberry, cassis	4 out of 5 stars	Oh I miss this scent so much. I didn't know they bought it back temporarily for SAS in 2020 and I'm sad I didn't get the chance to snatch some more. I ended up caving and buying a bottle on eBay. The seller was super kind to throw in a mini spray they had of it as well, so that was a nice surprise.
Sweetheart Cherry	Bath and Body Works	Wild cherry, pistachio, vanilla	4 out of 5 stars	Guilty pleasure scent. Sweet but not enough to give me a headache, warm because of the pistachio and vanilla combo, fruity cause of the cherry.
Twisted Peppermint	Bath and Body Works	Peppermint, balsam, vanilla buttercream	2.5 out of 5 stars	I don't hate it but I don't love it either. I usually only wear in December so this little bottle will last me forever. It's just a bit too sweet for me I think, can get overwhelming quickly.
Moonlight Path	Bath and Body Works	Jasmine, blue violet, lavender, lily of the valley, musk	2.5 out of 5 stars	I blind bought this when it was $4 because I heard they were discontinuing this as well. I like the packaging but I should know I'm not huge on purely floral scents. I may sell or give it to one of my friends.
Beautiful Day	Bath and Body Works	Apple, cassis, daisy, pink peony	3.5 out of 5 stars	I had this when it first came out and it smelled more fruity back then I'm 100% sure. Now it smells more floral. I still like it but I miss the stronger apple/pear scent the first iteration had.
Vanilla Mocha Cafe	Bath and Body Works	Cappuccino, vanilla orchid, white tonka bean	4 out of 5 stars	My favorite vanilla scent so far. Very cozy and love spraying my bed with it.
Twilight Woods	Bath and Body Works	Berries, mandarin, mimosa, apricot nectar, cypress wood	4 out of 5 stars	I'm glad they bought this one back for a bit. The packaging is pretty and I love berry scents.
Wild Strawberry Leaf	Bath and Body Works	Wild berries, citrus, strawberry leaf, pink peony	4 out of 5 stars	Another one I wish they would bring back. It's a lighter and more natural strawberry, unlike Strawberry Poundcake. I can't wait for spring so I can break this back out.
Forever Red	Bath and Body Works	Pomegranate, red peony, vanilla rum	4 out of 5 stars	I love my pomegranate scents and snatched this when it was $6.
Platinum	Bath and Body Works	Bergamot, white flowers, patchouli	4 out of 5 stars	I never planned on buying this one but I decided to finally give it a sniff when a sale was going on and was surprised that I actually liked it. It's a clean scent but definitely strong for just a body mist.
Midnight Addiction	Bath and Body Works	Ripe plum, almond flower, coffee bean	4.5 out of 5 stars	To be honest, this lasts longer than the original Black Opium on me I think. The longevity on this blew me away, especially since it feels like the regular body sprays are weaker at BBW now.
Madame Mystique	Bath and Body Works	Red berries, rose petals, woods	4 out of 5 stars	It's hard for me to describe this scent for some reason. It's kind of fruity, floral, and musky. Not sure what it's duping though.
4EVER SWEET	Bath and Body Works	Grape candy, berries, powdered sugar	3.5 out of 5 stars	I got the mini spray of this with my birthday reward. I know a lot of people hate this one, saying it smells like grape cough syrup, but I like it. Not something I'd wear a lot but I think it smells like Sweet Tarts. I was actually wishing there was a Sweet Tart scented perfume somewhere and this came out.
Hawaiian Ginger	Calgon	Coconut, ginger, pineapple, melon	4 out of 5 stars	Guilty pleasure and I've probably had this bottle since forever. It smells like middle school in the best way. Waiting for summer to break this out again.
Euphoria	Calvin Klein	Pomegranate, black orchid, amber	4.5 out of 5 stars	My first designer perfume. A crowd pleaser and has that hint of pomegranate that I really like. Plus I like the dark purple color.
Midnight Cafe	Fine'ry	Coffee, jasmine, patchouli	4 out of 5 stars	I smelled this at Target and didn't buy it. But I couldn't stop thinking about it and went back a few weeks later to get it. I found it was a dupe of YSL Black Opium. I was seeing I had a track record of enjoying these dupes, so I eventually bought the original scent.
Amber Romance	Victoria's Secret	Amber, vanilla, sandalwood, sour cherry	3.5 out of 5 stars	I bought some VS body sprays when they had a 5/$40 sale and blind bought them all. Since amber was a re-occuring note I noticed I was enjoying, I figured I'd like this.
Santal Nightfall	Victoria's Secret	Black currant, jasmine, sandalwood	4.5 out of 5 stars	I wasn't too sure about this when I first sniffed it. But the more I sprayed, the more I liked it. And now it's probably my favorite VS scent, so it makes me sad that it was sold for like a month for Ramadan.
Pomegranate Sky	Victoria's Secret	Pomegranate, iris, amber	4 out of 5 stars	I bought this thinking it might be similar to Midnight Pomegranate. Sort of. Not exactly like it of course but it still smells nice. Pretty light though.
Coconut Passion	Victoria's Secret	Coconut, vanilla, lily of the valley	3.5 out of 5 stars	Simple summery coconut scent. Not much to say. I like it and am waiting for spring/summer to wear again.
Black Opium	Yves Saint Laurent	Coffee, vanilla, white flowers	4.5 out of 5 stars	After liking Midnight Cafe and Midnight Addiction so much, I knew I had to save up and get the original perfume. I don't regret it. Smells awesome.

Luminous	Bath and Body Works	Black currant, iris, amber	I slept on this one. I smelled a body wash of this at the semi-annual sale and loved it. Very powdery and strong. Hope it returns again eventually.
Sinner	Kat Von D	Plum, cinnamon, patchouli, musk, vanilla	I haven't smelled this but I'd get it if I can find a good deal. Honestly mostly want it as a decoration because the bottle is beautiful. Though by the notes, it sounds good.
Eden Juicy Apple 01	Kayali	Apple, berries, rose	I like the simplicity of this. Just walk around smelling like apple juice. Would be really nice around spring.
La Vie Est Belle	Lancôme	Iris, vanilla, patchouli	I've yet to sample but I think I'd like it since it's similar to Luminous.
Lolita Lempicka	Lolita Lempicka	Violet, licorice, vanilla, patchouli	I was pleasantly surprised when I sampled this and want a mini spray.
Angel	Mugler	Bergamot, praline, patchouli	Apparently this is the cilantro of the fragrance world (patchouli-heavy scents in general I think) but I like it. Smells like a Christmas tree.
Cheirosa '62	Sol de Janeiro	Pistachio, caramel, jasmine, vanilla	My mom bought this recently and I really like it. I can see why it's so popular.
Dylan Purple	Versace	Bergamot, pomarose, cedarwood	The full notes on this are all synthetic chemicals but man it smells nice.

Looking back at my list, I definitely enjoy the berry, pomegranate, patchouli, vanilla, and amber notes. I know patchouli is very polarizing, but I personally love it. People who hate it says it smells like body odor, though it usually reminds me of Christmas and wintertime. I can't help but enjoy fall/winter scents a lot more. I usually don't enjoy floral-heavy scents and fruity scents can be a bit too sweet for me sometimes.

Also I'm pretty sure the wishlist will grow as I try more samples and read about more perfumes.
